Tubular heaters

Tubular heaters from KMT Heiztechnik are highly compacted heating rods for heating liquids, gases and solid bodies. Bendable in the cold state — straight or contour-bent, with sheath temperatures up to 850 °C and lengths up to 4,500 mm, supplied from quantity one.

Versatile heat

The universal element of electric heat.

From dip baths to air heaters to the manifold bar in a hot runner: tubular heaters bring electrical heat into liquids, gases and solid bodies. We supply every heating rod custom-made — straight or ready-bent, from quantity one.

Inside the highly compacted heating rod lies the heating coil, electrically insulated and enclosed by a bendable annealed stainless steel sheath — this is what makes the rod formable in the cold state. The unheated connection zone (standard 35 mm) stays cooler and safely passes through the tank wall or mounting.

Mounting & safety

Proper mounting is a prerequisite for the function, service life and operational safety of your heating system.

!The heating zone needs heat dissipation

The tubular heater delivers its power to the surrounding medium. If heat dissipation is missing, the heating rod overheats — for liquid heating, the heating zone must therefore always be fully immersed.

  • Account for the unheated zone in the design — it passes through the tank wall or mounting.
  • Specify the bend shape with your inquiry — we supply it ready contour-bent. The unheated connection zone is not bendable.

The connection area must be protected from moisture and media. Over time, an insulating layer forms on the sheath in hard water — regular descaling preserves power and service life.
