Tubular heaters from KMT Heiztechnik are highly compacted heating rods for heating liquids, gases and solid bodies. Bendable in the cold state — straight or contour-bent, with sheath temperatures up to 850 °C and lengths up to 4,500 mm, supplied from quantity one.

Inside the highly compacted heating rod lies the heating coil, electrically insulated and enclosed by a bendable annealed stainless steel sheath — this is what makes the rod formable in the cold state. The unheated connection zone (standard 35 mm) stays cooler and safely passes through the tank wall or mounting.

Proper mounting is a prerequisite for the function, service life and operational safety of your heating system.
!The heating zone needs heat dissipation
The tubular heater delivers its power to the surrounding medium. If heat dissipation is missing, the heating rod overheats — for liquid heating, the heating zone must therefore always be fully immersed.
- Account for the unheated zone in the design — it passes through the tank wall or mounting.
- Specify the bend shape with your inquiry — we supply it ready contour-bent. The unheated connection zone is not bendable.
The connection area must be protected from moisture and media. Over time, an insulating layer forms on the sheath in hard water — regular descaling preserves power and service life.

No. We supply tubular heaters from a quantity of one — straight or ready contour-bent, from a single spare part to series requirements. Every heating element is manufactured to order according to your specifications.
Yes. Tubular heaters can be bent in the cold state — we supply them ready contour-bent to your sketch or drawing, with bends in the heated or unheated section. Only the unheated terminal zone itself cannot be bent. Alternatively, you can obtain straight heating elements.
Liquids such as water, oil or chemical media, gases such as air, nitrogen or CO₂ — and solid bodies, for example tools, rollers or manifold bars. The medium determines the material choice and the permissible surface loading; please state it in your inquiry.
The heating element dissipates its power into the surrounding medium. If heat dissipation is lost — for example when the fill level drops and the heating zone protrudes from the liquid — the heating conductor overheats and the heater is destroyed. The heating zone must therefore be fully immersed at all times; a dry-run protection device is recommended.
The section at the terminal end without a heating coil — standard 35 mm. It stays significantly cooler and safely passes through the vessel wall, fitting or mounting. We size the position and length of the unheated zones according to your installation situation.
Pin terminals (2.6 / 4.6 mm), M3 / M4 threads, glass-silk or silicone-insulated lead wires, spade terminals 6.3 × 0.8 mm or M4 terminals. Plus threaded nipples or heating flanges for installation in vessels and pipelines.
Yes. Send us the old part or the key data (diameter, uncoiled length, bend shape, voltage, power, connection type) — we determine the matching design and supply an equivalent replacement, regardless of the original manufacturer.
You provide us with dimensions, bend shape, electrical data and the medium to be heated, we check the sizing and clarify any open points directly with you. You then receive a quote; after ordering, the heater is manufactured to order and delivered to you.
