Screw-in immersion heaters

Screw-in immersion heaters from KMT Heiztechnik heat water, oil and other media directly in the tank: heating rods in a G 1½" or G 2" threaded nipple, power outputs from 1,500 to 12,000 W and integrated control on request — supplied from quantity one.

Direct media heating

Heat directly in the tank.

From buffer tanks to dip baths to fryers: the screw-in immersion heater is screwed into the tank socket and delivers its power directly to the medium — without detours. We supply every version to match your socket and your medium, from quantity one.

Heating rods with an ø of 8.5 mm are soldered into the threaded nipple made of brass or stainless steel; the unheated zone safely passes through the tank wall. The connection cap — plastic, stainless steel or aluminum — protects the connection space and, on request, houses a thermostat or controller/limiter combination.

01

Up to 12,000 W from one socket

Several heating rods in the threaded nipple deliver up to 12 kW directly into the medium — screw in, connect, heat.

02

Control can be integrated

On request with internal setpoint adjustment, thermostat, or controller/limiter combination — the control sits directly in the connection cap.

03

Material to match the medium

Sheath materials from 1.4541 to 2.4858, threaded nipple in brass or stainless steel — matched to water, oil, emulsions and chemical media.

04

From quantity one

From a single spare part to series requirements — also as an exact replacement for third-party products.

Safety notes

Mounting & safety

Proper mounting is a prerequisite for the function, service life and operational safety of your heating system.

!The heating zone needs heat dissipation

The screw-in immersion heater delivers its power directly to the medium. If the fill level drops below the heating zone, heat dissipation is lost and the heating rod overheats — the heating zone must therefore always be fully immersed.

  • Design the immersion length and unheated zone to match the tank — the unheated zone passes through the socket.
  • Seal the thread properly and check for leaks after the first heat-up.
“A heating zone running dry destroys the heating rod.”

The connection cap protects the connection space — keep it closed and keep moisture away. Over time, an insulating layer forms on the heating rods in hard water — regular descaling preserves power and service life.

Mounting check

  • 01Heating zone fully in the medium — never run dry
  • 02Monitor fill level (e.g. dry-run protection)
  • 03Choose immersion length & unheated zone to match the tank
  • 04Seal the thread properly — check for leaks
  • 05Keep connection cap closed — keep moisture away
  • 06Remove deposits (e.g. limescale) regularly

Range of designs

Designs & options

Without control

The basic screw-in immersion heater for operation with external control — temperature control via your system controller.

With thermostat / internal setpoint

Integrated thermostat in the connection cap — the setpoint temperature is set directly on the heater.

With controller & limiter

Controller and limiter combination for added safety — the limiter shuts down permanently in case of overtemperature.

Special versions

Different immersion lengths, power ratings, cap and nipple variants — to specification, drawing or sample part.

Options & accessories

Cap, nipple, voltage and control depend on the tank, medium and installation situation.

Terminal cap: plastic, stainless steel or aluminum
Threaded nipple: brass or stainless steel
Integrated thermostat / internal adjustment
Controller and limiter combination
230/400 V or 3×400 V
Custom immersion lengths on request
