The brain of the heating system
Only the control makes the heating a system.
Heating element, temperature sensor and controller together form the control loop — only when all three match does the process run stably. We supply control electronics to match your heating system: configured for sensor type, heating power and number of zones.
The units control by two-point or PID behavior with autotuning, display setpoint and actual value digitally, and monitor the sensor for breakage and reverse polarity. The soft-start sequence starts up the heating at reduced power — exactly what cartridge heaters and ceramic band heaters need for a long service life.

Frequently asked questions
Three details are enough: number of zones, heating power per zone, and sensor type. From this we configure the right unit — from a single-zone benchtop controller to an 8-zone cabinet. If in doubt, simply tell us the heating element and sensor; we supply both to match.
On switch-on, the heater is brought up to temperature with reduced power instead of full load. This drives moisture out of the heating elements and protects both cartridge heaters and ceramic band heaters — the ramp-up can be executed relative or absolute. We recommend exactly this start-up function on our heating element pages as well.
The units detect sensor breaks and reverse polarity and report the fault. Higher-grade versions can continue heating at the last determined output value if a sensor fails (output-value hold) — production continues until the sensor is replaced.
Yes — the units can be operated as power controllers: instead of controlling to a temperature, you specify a fixed output value as a percentage. Useful for applications without a measuring point or for emergency operation.
As standard, type J thermocouple; also type K, type L and PT100. It is important that the controller input and sensor type match — matching temperature sensors are also available in our range.
Yes — optionally with interfaces such as RS-422/485, Profibus-DP or Profinet, as well as alarm outputs via relay or siren. The touchscreen version additionally offers a data logger and web server for documentation and remote access.
